NOCLS 20th ANNUAL CHARITY GOLF CLASSIC

Sold out at 112 golfers in the Classic.

Caddy Auction with auctioneer PAUL BURKE made $6,302. The highest Deputy Chief Lawrie Skolrood was purchased for $1,251 was purchased by Warren and Sandi Melnick, Akbal Mund was purchased for $1,201 by Danny Miller while Lindsay and Lynnaya from the Morning Star was purchased for $1,200 by Doug Thorlakson.

The Far West Winning team – Neil Bradbury, Danny Miller, Richard Stabb, and Blake Rowson with -12. Second place team was Ryan Molitwenik, Stacy Roest, Jay Fourie and Dan Harding. Third place team was Lee Welch, Dustin Welch, Ryan Krause and Cory Krause.

The Good Guy of the Year was Doug Thorlakson.

The major auction conducted by Bob Woodman raised $37,800.00. The Kal Tire package with destination Campbell River was purchased by Gary Weatherill and the Nixon Wenger team for $10,000. Clark Omand owner of Pure Granite Rocks donation sold for $4,500 to Lawrence Brown. Neil Bradbury owner of Dream Easy Kitchen’s decided to double his package which sold to Darrel Spencer and Warren Melnick for $4,600 while the same occurred for owner Dale Neden of Speedway Racing School, he too decided to sell his package twice and the winners were Mark Fox and Nancy Kurbis sold for $4,200.

The other Major contribution was from the Bank of Nova Scotia who volunteered and managed the silent auction, entered 2 teams then wrote a cheque for $5,000.

NOCLS would like to thank all the volunteers, caddies, those who donated, those who purchased, bought items, committee members, the media and all the golfers for making this year’s event the so successful.
